Our friendly pub with rooms sits proudly in Cardiff, just a short stroll from the city centre and right by some of the city’s best green spaces. Whether you’re here for a matchday weekend, a relaxed escape or simply a very good excuse to stay for “one more”, a warm welcome awaits at Pontcanna Inn.

At the bar, you’ll find a carefully chosen line-up of wines, local beers, cask ales and cocktails, best enjoyed with comforting pub food and seasonal dishes from the kitchen. When sport is on, the atmosphere lifts a notch (or three), with live action shown on screens inside and out. And when the sun shows up, our garden becomes the place to be, pints pouring, pizzas firing and plans quietly extending themselves.

Do I need to book a table at Pontcanna Inn?

Walk-ins are always welcome, but we recommend booking ahead, particularly for busy evenings, weekends and larger groups.

Do you have bedrooms?

Yes. We have 10 cosy bedrooms, perfect for a Cardiff city break, weekend away or simply making a night of your visit.

Is Pontcanna Inn dog-friendly?

Absolutely. Dogs are very welcome at Pontcanna Inn, and we have dog-friendly bedrooms too, so your four-legged friend can join you for your Cardiff stay.

Do you have parking?

We don’t have on-site parking, but Sophia Gardens Car Park is a short walk away. It’s operated by Cardiff Council, with payment available at the machine or via MiPermit.

Do you show live sport?

Yes. Join us for the biggest sporting fixtures, with screens inside and out. For particularly popular matches, we recommend booking ahead.

Do you have a pub garden?

Yes. Our large garden is made for drinks, dining and catching up in the fresh air, with plenty of space to settle in.
