Family Friendly Stays in Cardiff

Perfectly placed in leafy Pontcanna and just a short walk from Cardiff city centre, our family-friendly bedrooms at Pontcanna Inn make an ideal base for exploring. It’s easy, central and wonderfully relaxed, exactly what you want when travelling with little ones.

Start the day with a slow morning and a good breakfast downstairs, whether you’re after something hearty or keeping things on the lighter side. We’ve not forgotten about younger guests either, with kid-friendly options to keep everyone happy before heading out for the day.

There’s plenty to see and do right on your doorstep. Think picnics and playtime in Bute Park, riverside walks along the Taff Trail, castle exploring at Cardiff Castle and family-friendly attractions dotted across the city. From green spaces to hands-on museums and big days out, there’s more than enough to keep curious minds and busy feet entertained.

Child Friendly Stays

With a host of family-friendly activities on our doorstep, we can’t wait to welcome you to Pontcanna Inn for your next family break.

With a welcoming atmosphere for all ages, our child-friendly bedrooms come with space for cots for little ones, and z-beds for the bigger little ones. They’re only charged at £15 per night (that’s those aged 2-14), while the littlest ones (those under two) stay for free.

Boutique Bedrooms

Our uber-comfy rooms have all the little extras to make your stay special. With Nespresso coffee machines in each room, start your day the right way.  You’ll find over-flowing snack baskets (perfect those late-night nibbles), Bramley toiletries, and an in-room mini fridge.

Little Borrowers

Because we know just how important it is to keep little ones entertained, we’ve created our very own in-room Borrow Boxes – treasure troves of fun and inspirational goodies to keep kiddie boredom at bay.

We’ll pop one into your room when you add a child on to your booking, and when you’re ready to set off on your merry way, simply pack it back up and we’ll look after it until the next little borrower arrives.
